Capt. Tom's Report - May 15, 2000
Billions of sand eels continue to attract and hold massive schools of cod, pollack, haddock and cusk. Wolffish have become more frequent and haddock in the 10-15 lb. range are very common. Larger cod are moving in and giant pollack in big numbers are pleasing to customers.
Capt. Tom's Report - June 15, 2000
Beside our spectacular Stellwagen Bank cod fishing in June, our Cape Cod Fishing for striped bass and bluefish exploded as of June 1st. Massive schools of big stripers invaded race point, Wood End and Billingates shoals bringing limits of striped bass in the 20-50 lb. class to our customers. Striped Bass Fishing doesn't get any better anywhere. Our combination 1/2 day striped bass and 1/2 day cod are bringing smiles to our sportfishing charters. Cod trips are producing big cow cod 30 lbs. plus giant pollack over 20 lbs, haddock, wolffish and monk fish. Giant and school tuna by the thousands have also invaded Massachusetts especially Stellwagen Bank. Look for great catches of tuna and shark beginning in July.
Capt. Tom's Report - July 15, 2000
Summer on Stellwagen Bank brings in a great variety of gamefish to test fishing charters. Monster cod and pollack have become a regular event in our catches. Many fish in the 30, 40, and even 50 lb. class have already been caught and will continue throught the fall. Monkfish and haddock are more common and big sharks and bluefin tuna have begun to show up in the deep water east of Stellwagen Bank. Striped bass and bluefish continue to be excellent.
Capt. Tom's Report - August 15, 2000
Hot summer days have warmed water temperatures to set-off feeding by giant bluefin tuna and sharks. Many of our fishing charters have chosen combination trips, especially 1/2 day shark and 1/2 day cod, or 1/2 day tuna and 1/2 day cod. Big cow cod and giant pollack continue to please our customers. We are also seeing plenty of action on striped bass and bluefish.
Capt. Tom's Report - September 16, 2000
Fantastic tuna action has exploded on Stellwagen Bank with giant tuna ranging from 500 to 900 plus lbs. and huge schools of school tuna 60 to 250 lbs. Shark fishing has gotten even better with most days bringing multiple hookups all day long. Large pollack, haddock, wolffish, and monkfish continue to be the delight on cod trips. Striped bass and bluefish continue excellent.
