Duxbury - A Nice Boston Suburb to Visit After Your Big Fish CharterHeading out to Boston for a weekend and planning a striper fishing excursion off of Cape Cod? Why not take a small detour and head to Duxbury to spend time on the beach, golf or do a little shopping. Duxbury is one of the top places on the east coast for shellfish and cranberries. So if you end up here during meal time, step in to one of the high quality restaurants and enjoy some local cooking. If you like a little history while on vacation, step back in time and head over to the King Caesar House, former home to legendary shipbuilder Ezra Weston, Jr. You could also walk around Snug Harbor which offers many little shops in a tiny area. Duxbury also caters to those who enjoy a more active afternoon, with a number of bike trails and forests to walk through, a golf course, and of course the beach (which allows dogs on it under certain conditions). If you enjoy Duxbury you should look at visiting other towns near Boston and Cape Cod like Plymouth and Brant Rock. |
