HEAD TO SCITUATE AFTER YOUR DAY OF TUNA FISH OR SHARK FISHING
Just north of Marshfield is Scituate, the town known to many as 'The Irish Riviera.' This coastal neighborhood
in Massachusetts is home to beautiful beaches, high quality restaurants and a friendly community of people.
With a packed events calendar throughout the year, including its annual summer shark fishing tournament
and fall ChowderFest, there's never a bad time to visit.
From an historical perspective, Scituate is a great town to take a peek through a window into our nation's
history. Promoting its '9 dynamic historic sites,' Scituate maintains fascinating structures from centuries ago, including
the Scituate Lighthouse and the Maritime Irish Mossing Museum, and of
course, the Old Oaken Bucket Homestead. You can always take a drive by the
historical sites after fishing for sharks or tuna fish, but make sure to call
ahead for days and hours of operation if you wish to get a tour or step
inside.
